Thanks Fran. I am not disappointed that I only got to -16m its just I felt I could do so much more if it were not for my ears.
Lake Pupuke may not be crystal clear warm water but it is accessible. The only things I was really afraid of were the swans and the scuba divers(they were rushing back to their cars so fast). Your lucky to have some deep water so close. I am only about 3kms from an awesome freediving coast but would need a boat to get anywhere near -20m.
As for goals well I would like to improve on my static time and I have a lot of work to do on my dyn technique. One of the most important lessons that sunk in on your course was the importance of a well thought out, staged progression. No rushing to pack, or going for that extra 10 seconds or metres and then blacking out because you pushed too far.
As far as competitions go I would love to get to one soon. As for now it is more work at the pool and waiting for the summer so I can get back in the ocean, or my Elios, which ever is first to arrive.
