Re: WOW!! Just back from the Hawaii PFI course

Dear Diva,

We stayed very nearby in between Jacks Diving Locker and the dive spot at Pineapple Park (www.pineapple-park). Its very cheap for the Hawaii and nice once you get the feel of it. Its a bit funky at first, kind of spread out and lots of stuff everywhere, though once we got our room it was very good. They have rooms with baths and without, and dorm style bunk beds very cheap. They have a very nice communal kitchen so can cook meals if you like and very nice living room to relax and also porch with tables and chairs and nice view so it was nice for me to do Yoga there in the morning. The other guests were very friendly, kind of like a eurostyle guest house experience instead of hotel or condo complex.

P.S. Who is Alison? PM me if you want. Cheers Wes

Wes thank you will check that out now.

Alison was the greatest woman i ever met. she was team leader here on Deeperblue and was tragically killed in a car crash last October, along with her loving husband. Lots of people know her here, she was a fine person.

Dear Diva,

Please accept my blessings on your loss. The white text of your message to Alison was barely readable on my LCD screen so thought maybe it was a "ghost in the machine" or something like that (sounds kind of like it was anyway).

P.P.S. Is that you in the your screen photo, very nice.

Re: WOW!! Just back from the Hawaii PFI course

Hey Wes!

Great reading! Congrats, nice results! I am going to PFI Intermediate course in Miami, March. I just can't wait to get there and dive with this team. Tell me please how's flying with the monofin. Mine is huge and I am not sure if I will be allowed to take it with me into the plane (I won't let them throw it with the luggage, my precious)

Peter

Re: WOW!! Just back from the Hawaii PFI course

Peter,

Don't know, haven't got my mono fin yet (on order) and not flown. The airlines are pretty good about fragile stuff like musical instruments etc. If it is too big to put on carry on you can carry it to the plane and then give it to the ground personel and they store it in a special place in the belly of the plane. Then you get it as you get off so it doesn't go thru the baggage system and theoretically can't get lost as its on the plane wih you.

Cheers Wes
