Unhappy nausea

I was wondering if anyone else sometimes has trouble with nausea when freediving. On days when the sea is rougher and visibility is lousy (3-5ft) I often end up getting a bit quesy and very slightly disoriented. I haven't yet tried taking any seasickness pills, mainly because I never remember to buy any, but was wondering if anyone else had this problem and had found good solutions (preferably all natural ones). It doesn't quite ruin my day but definitely takes some of the fun out of it.

Thanks in advance

sea sick

For years I used Marazene if I wasn't on the boat every week. I've fed it to over 100 people and the only side affect noticeable, is drowsiness when it wears off. Be careful driving home. A buddy tried it for competition (shooting fish in holes in dirty, shallow, bumpy water) and even though he had never been seasick, in 20 years of boating in all weather, it helped clear his head.

I had two bad cases of sea sickness while spearfishing.

They both happened during competitions and one time I was actually vomiting while lying on my buoy. It's not a nice experience, especially when due to the stomach contractions your head goes under the water...

I never took any pills since I am not sure what the side effects would be, but I know it always happens when I dive on empty stomach, the vis is low (which is very usual for the Black Sea), and I dive too early in the morning as in the case with competitions.

Now if the sea is rough I always check the hunting zone and pick a spot, which is somewhat protected. And I'm also avoiding expensive restaurants, cause it would be a pitty...
