Can anyone tell me how dynamics are measured - ie, at start from side of pool or from mouth hitting the water (are dive starts allowed?) and if coming up against a wall, where is the end point?
Any restrictions on pushing off from side of pool etc?

Hi reidfish,
I did a dynamic in the Pacific cup last week. They have a little rope on the surface which you have to duck under. Was maybe 1.5m from the edge of the pool. You are allowed to push off with your feet, some people did, some didn't. Nope can't do a diving start The end of your dive is where your shoulders or head break the surface. Was either one of the safety divers or someone walking along side you - stands and marks the spot where you come out then they use measuring tape. Cheers, Wal |
