Really confused about footpockets. been reading about the Omer footpockets being comfortable but performing really bad on monos. why is that, is the power not transmited well to the blade ? how do the classic (and painfull) footpockets work better ? is there any way to "customize" a Specialfins with Omers to work well ? thanks for the help. delphicly, Noa

1.) Due to the open heel, they give greater freedom for the angle between foot and blade. (I took that information from a post by Eric Fattah. It was in a thread that dealt with "greek sandals" as far as I remember.) 2.) The OMER footpockets have long rubber rails that are attached to the blade for a considerable length. Rubber, unlike carbon or fiberglass, has quite a big "hysteresis", i. e. a portion of the energy gets lost in each movement. I get along well with Waterway footpockets (at least for up to two hours...) Cheers Uli |
