AIDA board candidates

Here's your chance to get direct influence in things within AIDA, the AIDA board is up for elections. I have copied Sébastien Nagel's message below. (Don't get confused by his English :-)

Dear freediving friends,

The AIDA Delegates Assembly just decided to modify the AIDA Statutes concerning the AIDA Executive Board since January 1st, 2004. The Executive Board will be now composed by :

- a President
- a Vice-President «Europe»
- a Vice-President «America»
- a Vice-President «Asia»
- a Vice-President «Africa»
- a Vice-President «Oceania/Pacific»
- a Technical Officer
- a Responsible for Records
- a Responsible for Education
- a Treasurer
- a Secretary

New total = 11 persons (currently 8)

Then, in order to manage the best possible transition from current Executive Board till new one, we will start now the «Election Procedures» for the Nomination of AIDA Board Members 2004 !... The first step will be of course to find CANDIDATES FOR ALL THESE FUNCTIONS !

SO, ALL THE PERSONS INTERESTED BY ONE OR MORE OF THESE AIDA EXECUTIVE BOARD FUNCTIONS FOR 2004 CAN SEND THEIR CANDIDATURES TO THE FOLLOWING ADDRESS ONLY :

THE NEW CANDIDATES ARE REQUESTED TO ALSO SEND A BRIEF «CURRICULUM VITAE», AND IT IS ALLOWED TO BE CANDIDATE FOR MORE THAN ONE FUNCTION !

DEADLINE TO SEND YOUR CANDIDATURE(S) : DECEMBER 10th, 2003 - 06:00 pm GMT !

However, we deeply ask you to take care of following recommandations or restrictions for some of these functions :

- President : better to don't have any private live :-)

- Vice-Presidents «Europe», «America», «Asia», «Africa», «Oceania/Pacific» : if possible living in the concerned Continent, and member of one of these continental AIDA Nationals. The new Vice-President will be responsible to manage and overview Freediving in their Area

- Technical Officer : if possible with a large technical experience of competitions, world records and regulations

- Responsible for Records : if possible with a very frequent Internet access + minimum requirement : International AIDA Judge - Level B

- Responsible for Education : if possible already AIDA Trainer 2**, 3*** or 4****

- Treasurer : if possible leaving in Switzerland to manage topics with the AIDA bank, good knowledge in books-keeping

- Secretary : if possible with a large internet access, and able to understand english and french
