Hyper O2

Hi chaps,

Anyone heard of a product called Hyper-O2?

You can buy it in the chemist here in Italy.

It's described as a Molecular Activated Oxygen (?!) that 'optimizes the levels of oxygen in each cell of the body'.
It supposedly contains 25,000 times more 'bio-available' oxygen than tap water.

It also has a pH of 7.4

Sounds interesting huh??

Sounds like doping off hand. Unless some wiseguy is trying to fool ignorants.

Never tried Hyper-O2, but I have met Alastair and "ignorant" is just about the last adjective that I'd use in describing him.

Oh, I didn't mean it as an indication that Alastair was ignorant...

Super oxygenated water is pretty useless. The German team in ibiza was sponsored by a super-oxygenated water company. Members of the team said it just gave them a stomach ache and didn't improve their apnea at all.

Scientific studies have also shows negative results.

Cool - I was kind of angling for a response from Eric. I'll pass the word on to the guys here.

As for doping; it's not banned, and this is usually a pretty good indication of whether it has any effect or not...

Thanks Pezman! Although I was far from sharp after the red-eye we took.
