NaCN Killing Kona Reefs

On a recent trip to Kona I was acosted by some locals for wearing sunblock. They thought that the sunblock killed the coral. Something is killing the coral quickly in kona. It is the people catching fish for aquariums. The sick little murder boats floating off the beaches are killing everything. I ask is there another chemical that can be used by the fisherman to stun the fish without killing everything????? Our reefs will die unless we find an answer quickly. I pray to whatever god I have for an answer.

I'm afraid so. Cyanide is used to stun the fish. This is illegal in most countries, but still happens.

Some info can be found at http://www.practicalfishkeeping.co.u...m.php?news=625, although you may need to register on the site to view the page.
