it was -15m last point, i remember my eyes at surface 1-1.30 min burned when i return , i mean felt salt in my eyes, i opened my eyes all the time till deep , looking was buliring and deep was so cold , i felt it..no mask-no weight-no suit.. the trick is to use your two leg weights , and need to dive 90 degree,, that' s all and i can say taht ear equaliaztion more easy without mask, cos' mask makes vaucum effecet when diving and all the time need a very very little air blow from noise before send air to e-tube , but to see is imposible at deep i do it every year a few times, last year done -9m, this year i jumped -15m , Sory not -15 , -14.6m

i do all my dynamic training with no mask on, it does burn the eyes, but for the first 30 mins or so, i can get along pretty good.. just hate the water in the nose !

To my knowledge the record for natural apnea (no suit, no mask, no fins), is -80m by Sebastien Murat using the FRC method which doesn't require weights.

FRC = Diving with less air in your lungs. You take a breath and relax, what air stays in the lungs you dive with.
Not only does it give you a better diveresponse - you also sink without weights and therefore you just have to swim on your way up. Sebastian Murat is the master of FRC, his courses are really really interesting. I never attended to one myself but i certainly will! |

and yeah. after reading this post i got inspired and did unbelievable 3.3 meters. that was in a lake, 20 degrees on surface and 11 degrees 2 meters down... also it was pitch black and i´ve never been diving there before so i was a little scared. i will try next time in my homelake. ^^
