From what I have seen the only censorship that occurs here stems from posts that are reported by the members themselves. As has been pointed out by Stephan, these decisions are made only after some discussion. Not every reported post is acted on, generally only those where personal attacks or racist type comments are made. Maybe in your book these comments are fair game and should be left?

It has been a mere observation over time. My advice was just that people should do their own research into a topic of discussion and use this information to come about their own conclusion. This was mainly in referance to the Stepanek/AIDA incident where I saw a clear display of follow the leader and alot of heated people acting on hersay.

Maybe in your book these comments are fair game and should be left?

There is absolutly no need for the type of abuse you listed above. Maybe there was more to this kind goning on outside the forums I review.

I too have often seen a variety of opinions while doing my own research into a topic..

At this point, however, I part from your ostensible trajectory insofar as I believe absolutely everything I read on these forums.

Moreover I have for some time suffered from a singular psychological affliction which has the peculiar property of undermining any compulsion to draw conclusions.

I have recently drawn a conclusion that is directly on point for all freedivers who use lub. Being willing to try most any silly thing I read, I found that okra can be made into great lub, you don't even need to chew it. Environmentally friendly, biodegradable, non-chemical, you can even get organic okra. Best of all, any leftovers taste great fried or in my soup. However, be warned, getting okra lub off you after the dive is a real trick, which I have not yet mastered. Lets not even think about the slime on my suit.

As a southerner you are uniquely qualified to hold forth on all things Okra.

Incidentally - all you need to remove it, post dive, and many here just leave it on (Okra is more of a novelty in the great north; Chicks dig it! ), is 50 gallons of warm vinegar and a bathtub with a trap door in the bottom.
