New WR static for Tom Sietas 9'15''

Today Tom broke his own static WR live on german TV (ZDF Fernsehgarten).

Congratulatyions Tom , specialy with all the distractions of horrible singers and massive screaming audiences.

Put a small clip of his surfacing on. Again (as always) he looks like he just did 1 minute.

Wow! Amazing! I thought he was going for ten this time. Still some days left of the announced attempt. I wonder if he will push it further. Doing it on TV is something extra!

Very very fresch!

Would have liked to see the whole thing!

Congratulations!

Tom, man this is increddible!

A few weeks ago I learned you were in doubt and recovering from some illness, and seeing this very strong performance on TV is really STUNNING!

I don't know about your fitness level, but from the way this looks I begin to think that you could go for the Big 10'05".
Tom it's waiting for you for the taking... and you deserve it, having put so much training and dedication into it!

Love, Courage and Water!

Kars

Re: New WR static for Tom Sietas 9'15''

Hi guys,

thanks a lot for your nice words - very kind, as always.

I was really happy that it went so well. Two weeks ago I still was in an Egyptian hospital and there was not so much time for practice. And then there was the techno music - horrible.

I will try to put a videoclip on my website soon, so you can watch the whole thing. Whats next? I was hoping to do some attempts outside the live TV show, but unfortunately we couldnt find judges for the other days. Now I am trying to organise attempts in Greece... If there is any judge available for the beginning of June (preferably close to Athens), please let me know...

Hope to c u all soon, Tom

Re: New WR static for Tom Sietas 9'15''

Hi Tom,

If you want i can put the whole version on . I just took the ending because during your whole performance they showed not you but some horrible singer with a miniscule inlay of you where you can hardly see anything. Most human brains can not handle so much torture so thats why.
But will update the post anyway with the full if you like.
Maybe you have a better version filmed by your girlfriend. That would be much better of course.

Also have video of you doing the dynamics nofins demo the day before . If you want I can also put that on for you.

Re: New WR static for Tom Sietas 9'15''

Hi Tom,

No worries mate.

It was actualy Pim who asked me to tape the show just in case. So maybe you get my version from Pim ;-)
Anyway, when i get home tonight I will put both (full static + dynamic) on for you or any other interested party. Just in case. But don't tell me i didn't warn you if you brake your eardrum with this singing dude

p.s. Was meaning to ask you. What where you doing in the first minute. You looked very uncomfortable and you where playing with your air and wiggleling around. I thought Oh no he will bail out, he messed up his packing or something.
After that you fell in your normal coma state ;-)

Re: New WR static for Tom Sietas 9'15''

You are right - I was struggling the first minute with my air. It was a little bit too much and felt uncomfortable. But after I had released a certain amount, i could go back to sleep...

Heidi recorded the attempt on mini DV, but the judges took it away - as always... so I am waiting for a copy of this...

Regards, Tom
