Re: Predictions anyone? new WR attempts...

I get the CNF thing... perhaps. But it just seems foolish for Herbert to take such a risk when he has all the time in the world to do a record attempt later on. Unless he's in such good shape he considers 123m a safe dive, that is.

Well, i don't know if "it" is "his" -- I think Mr. Stepanek is the current owner of IT as it were, but it will be interesting to see who pushes for what depths and what eveyone's mind does under-the-pressure-of-performance and having so many other top-athletes around.

Re: Predictions anyone? new WR attempts...

Dave i agree with you on he risk so early on i think in comps like this people will also push to the max to both win but also set a record (kinda like a double wammy sorta thing) havent seen it too much in this sport but have seen it alot in other sports. and as said above we have at least 4 people very keen on CNF and i would say they all have records in mind as well.

seeing that herberts training seems to be coming along better than expected i guess he maybe be peaking a bit earlier than expected so will take advantage of it while the diving is good.
