suunto D9 vs Uwatec smart Z

I would appreciate any advice/info on criteria to decide between the Suunto D9 and the Uwatwec smart Z. To concrete questions: 1: Is the transmiter of an old aladdin airX compatible with the smart Z . Or 2: How does the so called upgrade work? Thanks for your time and help
