HELLENIC UNDERWATER TIMES the website, recently awarded with first prize for the best educational website at the Antibes 2006 Underwater Films Festival, is organizing, for the first time ever in Greece, a Fundraising event whose purpose is the financial aid of the non profit organization "The Smile of a Child" which houses, protects and helps abandoned or abused children.
For 24 hours one of the most famous beaches of Athens, the Beach of Astir Palace Hotel is going to host a variety of events inside and outside of the water. For the certified divers that will join the Marathon there will be the opportunity to dive for approximately 30 minutes, to a safe underwater area and enjoy a dive full of pleasant surprises.
