Looks like a great book. Wonder if he took that first picture in Wisconsin. The first picture appears to be the Cranberry bog. Cranberries grow on dry land and the fields are flooded in the Fall for harvesting. The vines are agitated in various ways dislodging the berries which float to the surface allowing the farmer to gather them up. Very beautifull time of year from above or below the waters surface.

Just looking at the book now and the cranberry shot is taken at Edaville Bogs, Carver, Massachusetts. Taken on October 6, 2002 at a depth of 3ft!! |

Hey Stephan, missed your response. The photos look beautiful. The bogs here in Wisconsin are 3.5 to 4 ft. deep. Were really the Blue Hole of Cranberry Bogs, can't understand why the Author didn't catch that.
