This mask has a major problem with the download cable. I have to have my son hit the data download on the computer while I hold the cable in place. This is a serious design flaw--otherwise, the mask is the greatest thing since sliced bread.

Contact Oceanic regarding that. I was under the impression it was using the same download cable that Pelagic has been using successfully on thier computers for some years now. They should be able to help you out with that

I am calling them Monday, in fact, do you have a contact there? I am an Electrical Engineer and really, really love this mask...except for the data cable issue. It looks like they left a part off the connector inside the mask or the cable (jack) end does not have the right housing. It should snap neatly into place and require a tug to remove.

The strategy that they used was three (rx-tx-gnd) hermetically sealed pins in the mask that are pressure contacted to spring-loaded pins in the jack. As such, they need to be properly aligned and have a good press fit. The current arrangement does neither.
