Re: Holiday Guernsey 2008.

I think we should include the first & second of August as the base weekend but perhaps some will stay a little longer either before or after that date?
I did try to point out in the last thread that if more than last year turn up the format will have to change. What I mean is, fire house party's & lobster feast are not going to happen if 20+ people turn up! This year I catered for 16 & that is about the limit for me & my facilities.
Of course I dont mean to be negative just pointing out the logistics - so we will be more likely to break up into groups when diving & socialising in pups & restaurants when not.
whatever " bring it on"

Re: Holiday Guernsey 2008.

Looking good already! Where are you Podge, Spaniard, Scottie, StuckinSurrey?

Re Tide Tables, I came across this site

Digimap Tides

in case anyone hasn't seen it, which is very useful for looking up tides.

We've told the Rocquette cider people to make extra for July/August!

Re: Holiday Guernsey 2008.

Guys before you book any thing lets make sure we have a least a few who can make the same date. In the mean time have a look at this hotel Guernsey Hotels - Peninsula Hotel, Guernsey, Channel Islands I must admit to being a little confused because the hotel was meant to close last year? If it is still open for next summer it would be a great positions for you to stay being on the beach next to the knife.

Re: Holiday Guernsey 2008.

Sorry to say Mart that I am away from 22 July 'til about 4th August. Going cruising the Med. All booked up. That is going to put a lot on you and I'd hate to miss the party but unless everyone can make another date or can beat my wife at arm wrestling then I can't make it.

Boo Hoo!!!!

Dave

The other option would be 2 sessions. If there were too many for one session and some could make it later in August, more like the last week then I'd be available then. However that might be tooooo much especially for Mart.

Re: Holiday Guernsey 2008.

OK then "Dave is right" - I dont want to be on my own with this one & my bro plays a big part in the party.
So we need a re think on dates?

Re: Holiday Guernsey 2008.

Gents I’m easy, I should be able to work around any dates that come up.
How’s everyone with Mid August as all the flatfish will follow OMD out to the med just like the Pied Piper!!!
And it just wouldn’t be the same without the wise words of the master of all things flat.
