Re: Holiday Guernsey 2008.

I also posted earlier a link to Digimap Tides Digimap Tides

where you can select any date ( forward or back).

Attached are some suggested runner up prizes for next year ( you may have a chance if the current champ can't make it!)

Also to whet (or wet) your appetites - a seasonal recipe for pumpkin and fish pie from Radio Guernsey. Thought it might be of interest as on the broadcast they recommended Rocquette cider! BBC - Guernsey - BBC Radio Guernsey - Dorothy's pumpkin and fish pie

Re: Holiday Guernsey 2008.

Thanks for the link Col but I am not very good at these things all I get is - Data is provided for 2007 only. Could you tell me how to find next years tides, please.
As James cant make it for this years fishin I think he will have to forfeit his chance to keep the trophy so there will be a new name on the plaque for 2008.

Re: Holiday Guernsey 2008.

Hi

If you click on the arrow to the right of October 2007, or whatever, it goes forward a month at a time. a bit slow on my PC though. Then if you click on the day you want, highlighted in red, the tide times at the bottom of the page change.

Re: Holiday Guernsey 2008.

All done and booked up, Jim and myself will be arriving on Friday 15th August and leaving on Wednesday 20th August.
We’ll be staying at the ST George Hotel (same as last year).

See you then Gentlemen of Guernsey.

Re: Holiday Guernsey 2008.

Can’t book the ferry yet as Condor say that it will be "sometime soon" when they get August 2008 crossing times and price’s.

Quite right about the plaque forfeit - not sure I could have maintained it had I been there anyway. I think I was lucky to catch the 'sand eels' I had this year anyway - eh Dave! (OMD.)

Re: Holiday Guernsey 2008.

Right then shipmates, booked my flights, arrive Fri 15th August morning and leave Wed 20th August evening. That bugger Podge has taken the last of the rooms at St Georges, any ideas Mart? I'll sleep underwater if I have to.
