Hello,

I just joined this site. I have done just about every type of underwater hunting one can do in Texas, and looking to expand more into the bluewater aspect of it. Just wandering if anyone else in the central Texas area is into this?

I am from Austin. I am pretty new to the sport but I am always up for a dive. I could also use advise on local spots.

Im from east texas, and also looking for people as well, I dont mind driving. There a pretty good texas gulf coast section at spearboard.com, the south texas freedivers are a big(i think) organization that spearfishes offshore If your looking for that. I'm hoping to hook up with them. I think a couple of people with them are from austin. You can get in touch with them at the site above.

Another new texas spearo here. I am from Killeen presently and moving to San Marcos within the month for school there. Please post if anyone wants to have a get together on the coast or otherwise. Oh yeah, South Texas Freedivers are pretty big and they have members everywhere.

there are a few of us on this site that have been getting together for some prety fun trips.... there's me, agbiv, slingshaft and spearstudtx just to name a few... we have a trip planed for next week in port Aransas! ill get you pics and an update as soon as we all get back. spearing is a great sport that i think you will all love and we texans are starting to get out own group going here on deeperblue

hey guys i live in Austin but from s.padre just wanted to let yall know that the good thing about port A is that the oil rigs arent that far out and and you dont need a big boat. This weekend will be perfect after Dolly. Good Luck
