does anyone here ever use surgical rubber as a powerband cause i cant get ahold of any of the real stuff due to my loocation in new york if anyone has used this and has any suggestions please respond

As a last resort you could use surgical tubing but you would really be better off contacting one of the online spearfishing suppliers Omer,Picasso,Riffe all carry bulk rubber.

http://www.spearfishing.com.au/ go to products and look at rubber and bridles the dyneema bridles are best but require the spear notches or tabs to be polished to prevent cutting dyneema after this they last ages are quiet and less likely to damage fingers than metal bridles. Peter |
