can anyone explain a Heinrich line release to me, I'd greatly appreciate it. Thanks ahead of time.

Re: heinrich line release

It is most often used when you have a shaft with shark fins or tabs if you will. You rig your gun up the same, over the muzzle under the gun but instead of looping the mono onto the line release you wrap it over the fin closest to the mechanism. When the spear is released from the mech the mono can slip away and thus acts a 'line release' The only downside I can see is there could be a few tangling problems and it would be harder to rig it as a breakaway

Here is a picture of a mates gun who did the same thing but used a notched shaft...You can see the mono is attached to the shaft through a hole, he actually should have put the mono on the rear notch but you get the idea!
