Just finished rigging up this little cray gun tonight. Made of silky oak, light and dark varieties (I think the lighter stuff is northern silky oak) Single rubber muzzle for a 5/8" or 9/16" rubber. Its got a bit of old 5/8 rubber on there at the moment. There is also a 9/32" spear with a pranger...perfect for crays, I also have a speed shaft with flopper for it as well.
I just made it up to test a few things out, new handle angle + euro style arse and pearl shells ;D Both worked out great! I will incorperate them on my other guns. ![]() Muzzle: ![]() Handle: ![]() Heres a closeup of one of the pearl shells: ![]() I do most of my spearing in far north NSW so it probably won't get used at all. I will most likely sell it for one of the NQ boys for their crays. I am open to any comments, constructive or destructive |

Wow, great gun! did you construct the trigger mech yourself, or did you buy one in? Looks great, i have never made a gun myself, but that looks really impressive.

Its a very old seahornet mechanism. I got it off a friend for $20AU about a year ago. Its a shame to stick such an old beat up mech in a nice new shiny gun! But I'm too tight to pay $40 a new black one

Sweeet!!! I made a little one for my daughter (but I use it too) last year
it's great for tight holes. I'm thinking of putting rollers on it to get a little more band pull. Nice grain on that wood. Steve |
