is there anybody who has been building composite wooden guns , I have been laminating guns from timber and fibreglass and would like to work with carbon fibre ,I was unsure what type of cloth to use and how to orientate the fibres for maximum strength, I am unsure on how well it will machine once laminated into the timber , will it destroy the edge on my tools or not cut clean cleanly , any information would be greatly apreciated , thanks ANDY

Persirko uses it in some guns he builds. As far as machining goes it probaly won't be any different but you should make sure you have some respitory protection to avoid inhaling and fibers/dust.Make sure all your tools are sharp.

Hi, it shouldn't be a problem when u r workin with carbon, kevlar and other new composite products.. Only thing that u should consider, u have to chosse right wood to get better bond with fglass. For example, as u know, teak has oil, so, not good to lay glass on it..
Cheers,, Burak
