Can anyone recommend a source for nylon coated wire line. I am interested in the 350lb wire Jay Riffe riggs his spearguns with , but I don't want to pay 15-$20 to rig my shaft every year. I have used 400lb mono and do not like the way it forms kinks. From my experience , spectra frays, mono kinks and the wire is hard to beat. I have found a trapper supply website which sells 7strand non coated wire which I have used successfully but I prefer the coated wire. If you've ever caught a wire burr in the end of your finger , you'll know why:-)
Thanks for the input |

Hi everyone. I'm new here. I'm a Filipino working in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia who got hooked on spearfishing and counts groupers instead of sheeps in order to go to sleep. I'm currently changing the shooting line on my Beuchat Cavallero and was wondering if anybody knows where I can source coated wire lines around my area. I think I read Amphibious works here (Dammam area?). Maybe he knows. Or maybe anybody has any suggestion on DIY wire line. Thanks.
