Hi, ive been spearfishing most of my life on holidays (with polespears when i was younger) since i lived most of the time in mexico city. you know just with your avereage 75 cm jbl gun for reef fish.
But now that i will be spending more and more time in Baja (gonna be there all sumer I was wondering if any of you could tell me how big of a fish would a 11 liter inflatable RA float (with your normal gun-floatline- bungie-float setup) hold up / would it work for doardo and small yellow tail tuna? any advice would be great. |

People in here had taken striped marlin with those floats. Loads and loads of record yellow tails (more than 30kg for myself) and quitea bit of tuna...
You can not go wrong, they are a good value. A bodyboard float could be a good idea... but you need to buid it yourself form an old board. Use the search function on the forum, they are loads of info about those on past threads. Suerte, Pab.

I don't think there's a kingfish alive that could tow a diver and 11l float under - but that's because of the diver, not the float. A 30kg kingy would take down a couple of those floats if you left it to its own devices.
Tell you what, if I was going to Baja (I wish...), I'd string together several of those floats just in case something big showed up. |
