Re: hawaii'n Sling

Jeff,

This is a good start if you're not familiar with them. http://www.abbiller.com/hawaiian.html

They are OK if you are a beginner, but once you go to a gun, you won't find yourself using them that often. I haven't take mine in the water in at least a decade!

If you really want one, we have cheap wooden ones here in south Florida that I can mail you. Then again you can easily make your own, and you can get your own shaft locally.

Jim

Re: hawaii'n Sling

Hi Jim

Thanks for the reply, will check out the site.

I have been hunting with guns for about 3-4 years, but have started to shoot less fish, and quite enjoy the idea of the challenge that the Hawaiin Sling must posess. Our smaller fish here in CT are generally quite skittish, and I think to hunt successfully with a sling would take a fair deal of fitness, patience and 'stealth'..all of which in my opinion will make me a better spearo and freediver. Thats my warped logic behind it anyway.

Will check the site, thanks again.
