New Cressi Speargun?

I've been told that on the Cressi website (www.cressisub.it) there are images and description of their new speargun (the Cressi Geronimo). Unfortunately the site works only with Adobe Flash 8, but I don't have that software and not capable to download it (I'm a pc dummy).
Will anyone please cut/paste here some pics if any available, and the technical description of the Geronimo? Thanks in advance.

Re: New Cressi Speargun?

www.cressi.itsnorkeling and freediving - SpeargunsGeronimo ProColori disponibili Particolari del prodottoDescrizioneEXCLUSIVE CRESSI PATENT ON ADJUSTABLE HANDGRIP AND ONE-PULL TRIGGER Ergonomic and variable handgrip depending on the size of your hand and that can be adapted to every glove thickness, thus personalising the actual grip to every “spear-fisher”. One-pull effort, release and stroke trigger that adapts perfectly to all needs and to all spear-fishing levels (learners or professionals). New position for the line-releasing device that can be positioned either on the left or right to meet all the needs of spear-fishers, even if they’re left-handed. And the safety catch also offers the same ergonomics, as it can also be placed on the left or the right. The handgrip is made from two materials, the grips are made from a semi-rigid material and the stock is made from a reinforced engineering plastic. New, completely redesigned variable section barrel to provide the maximum resistance to bending thus guaranteeing excellent hydrodynamics and higher inner air volume. Constructed in a single block, it has an integrated spear-rail saddle. NEW AND REVOLUTIONARY MUZZLE COVERED BY THE EXCLUSIVE CRESSI PATENT The muzzle guarantees maximum stability of the shaft, it has an extremely smooth slide and guarantees top visibility because when the gun is loaded, the bow exploits the tension of the bands to keep the shaft stable. When the gun is fired, the inertia of the bands raises the bow and releases it completely, leaving it free and without obstacles. It is possible to match it with the circular band, continuing to take advantage of the patent features. Caratteristiche tecniche

Re: New Cressi Speargun?

Interesting - it comes in 95, 95,105 and 115 - the one 95 is obviously shorter than the other I'd like to see a cross-section of the barrel and know what it's made of.
I see they also have a new mask that looks interesting.

on the cressi website it seems that there are 2 versions, the difference being in the cross section, so probly one would be a regular circular, the other elliptical..no mention on the material though. i dont know why cressi stoppped making carbon fiber guns

Re: New Cressi Speargun?

I wonder if its shaped aluminum - like the Omer Cayman - they mention and integrated track and a 'variable section' barrel. It is a very nice looking design - particularly the grip.

Re: New Cressi Speargun?

the difference from the por model and the other is as integrated rail as oposite to "the traditional circular tube". that's what i could understand.
I want one! (and maybe really in the deep i need it... )

Re: New Cressi Speargun?

Nice looking gun. The pivoting muzzle have been used by Spetton for some time, apparently with good results, although I have never tried one. Also, Esclapez Imersion already have a handle whose angle can be adjusted "on the fly" very easily; it didn't impress me and it looks a bit flimsy. I wonder how does Cressy manages to make the grip adjustable. We will have to wait to see it.

Not sure, I'm just guessing, but I guess that the grip remains the same while the trigger's position is adjustable to fit longer or shorter hands/fingers. Just an impression from those few pics.
Availability: they say in Italy from february or march 2007, worldwide from late spring.
This newcomer keeps me on the string for my next purchase of a short/medium length reef gun and pricey C4 Mr.Carbon 79cm is too far beyond my budget
