I posted this on Spearboard but it occurs to me that since this is a European sliptip I ordered, I may have better responses here, since you guys seem to really know your Euro stuff.
I just got a few sliptips from a large European mail order company, and the adaptor won't fit my 6mm threaded shaft or my 24TPI threaded shaft. Beside 6mm and 24TPI, what other threads are there? Also, the company that sold it took nearly two months to get it here, and then shipped me the wrong tip!!! It looks nothing like advertised, and the material is different from advertised (as in cheap nylon cord versus the advertised stainless steel cable). I'm trying to resolve it with them, but expect a review soon of both the company and the sliptip. I may just have taken one for the team on this one. ![]() Last edited by 1shot; December 20th, 2006 at 04:08. Reason: add info |

Hi,
The Metric Threads come in sizes as follow : 6mm x .75mm/pitch ; 6mm x 1.0mm/pitch ; 6.3mm x 1.0mm/pitch ; 7mm x 1.0mm/pitch. Different European Co. may use different thread/pitch sizes on their tips according to the spear shafts they produced. There are many small shops in the USA that make custom made slip-tips and you can order it from them. Regards Jordan www.hamiltonspearguns.com |
