Slowly progressing on my gun project, a week has passed since laminating the 10 (originally 8) teak/carbon segments, each of the stocks, stayed true, and over the weekend they were planed.
I have been playing around with different design ideas that revolve around achieving a few things: 1)making a gun that is more streamlined...hydrodynamic, 2)while keeping it balanced, "naturally" ballasted, 3)and easy/quick to load, 4)also making it versatile interchangeable-line to freeshaft, 7mm to 8mm 4)as well as, keeping the bands on the same shooting plane 5)while having a clear uninterupted shooting field 6)and finally making it as "recoilless" as possible. I'm striving towards these 6 concepts, and it has been s-l-o-w-l-y moving along...this is work in progress...so any advice is greatly appreciated ![]() first pixc shows laminates with carbon second carbon/teak sandwiched third-shows one of the many pine prototypes...to be cont. just ordered the trigg mech (from steve- poseidon), which will have an auto line reset (like the riffe euro) and is good up to 4 5/8 bands
![]() the enclosed track have been formed (on the pine prototype) and will definitely hold the two shaft sizes... ![]() and finally had an "ergo guy" computer generate a grip, that we will soon protoyped (in plexiglass, glass/resin or aluminum), the idea is to make a comfortable grip, that can later be custom tailored to the hand with form poxy.
