I got a brochure this weekend just for a browse. For fishing (angling) and for going places/fun etc I can see why kayaks like the Prowler 13 and 15 are popular. However even after reading loads on the other kayak threads I am unsure about spearing from one.
I favour the idea of a smaller, lighter kayak that one person can carry down a long beach walk to the sea including carrying diving gear etc. I was thinking of a kayak as a sit on float rather than a proper boat. If I wanted a boat I'd go in my big boat or buy a little boat like a small RIB. While I realise that so much depends on who/what/why, I still in theory lean towards the smaller YAK's. However as I have never been in a kayak maybe I've got it wrong. Any comments? Dave

It all depends on your own needs. Anyone thinking yak should really think hard about what thier needs are, rather than what the rest of us think is the right choice (as everything). My choice of yak has changed as my needs have. Foxfish, .. I guesse the scupper holes are no good for dangling your worm then?! ![]() |
