10" past the end of the gun sounds like the right size. You dont want anything longer than that as the shaft will bend down with gravity. Anythig shorter and you are taking the reach out of the gun
buy it! Sounds cheap too... $40? My shafts are like $60. Make sure that if its a used shaft that its not bent! good luck!

Well, I do believe Lou Bonsey of Spearcrafters is the worst businessman I have ever dealt with, and I wouldn't recommend him to anyone, and I mean no one. I will be receiving my shaft and bands from other places, and I hope Lou has no more business, he has done more than tick me off. End of my Rant
