G'day peoples.
A mate put me on to this site and I've been lurking for a week or so. Now I've decided I'd like to get in to free diving so I'll be searching this site for some free diving exercises and such. I currently swim 1km/day just as a fitness thing. Looking forward to read all ya stories and learning from ya's. Cheers, Ed |

Hello and Welcome Ed,
Since you have been lurking around for a week or so, I am sure you are growing familiar with the threads and a few of the people here. This forum offers up an enormous amount of valuable information, and as I tell people, "If you don't see it here, start a thread!" We are usually much quicker to respond with the welcoming mat, however most leaders and mentors (as well as members) have been preoccupied with the recent news regarding the passing of one of deeperblue.net's most cherished. Ironically, this same person would have been the one to greet you here at the introductions thread. Her name was Alison and she was one heck of a good will ambassador! Please tell us about the type of diving you do. There are a handful of regulars here from Perth that you are destined find. Once again welcome to DB, Jim Last edited by jimdoe2you; November 3rd, 2005 at 23:50. |

Hi Ed,
welcome to DB forum, this is a great place to learn and share about diving. There are a few other aussies here, I live in ACT, which is a funny place for a freediver. There are a few freedivers floating around sydney way, lots of people that spearfish. Can try looking at buddy boards on these sites if you haven't already found them:- http://www.extremespearfishing.com.a...n/yabb/YaBB.pl http://www.ozfreediving.com/forum/ P.S. Jim, Sydney is about as close to Perth as Newyork is to LA. |
