Hello from another NorCal freediver

I'm based on the SF Peninsula near Palo Alto. I've been diving for over three
decades now; beginning as a freediver then SCUBA and now back to freediving again. Just took the PFI class in Kona, HI in November. I learned
a lot, particularly about how to freedive more safely. I'm planning on making
some freediving videos since my background is in extreme water sports (member of the Tsunami Rangers) as a camera man. If there's any NorCal freedivers out there who frequent the Monterey Bay and Big Sur coastline and are looking for a dive buddy, let me know.
Also, I just wanted to say a big Thank You! to all the members of the DB Forums for sharing their valuable knowledge and experiences by posting
here. The knowledge base you create has and will continue to empower
and inspire the members of our Planet Ocean family.
Happy New Year to you all!

Re: Hello from another NorCal freediver

Hey Billfish, this is the other brand new Norcal member. I've watched the Tsunami Ranger video, wow! I'm also a sometime "rock gardener" and an avid kayak fisher and freediver. I've wanted to get down to that area of the coast (Big Sur) for some time now. Perhaps we can dive down there one of these weekends? Sure would be nice to go with someone who knows the area. I heard there's some great stuff down there.

Also, same hold true if you want to do a kayak - abalone run up here. Oh, welcome from another newbie.

Dave

Talking Re: Hello from another NorCal freediver

Welcome to DB, Billfish.

A couple of friends of mine live in Palo Alto and I did promise to visit them some time - You know how it is, must have dreams..
Should I ever get around to that trip I might be bugging You to show me around the water over there
