Hi to all. I am a newbie to diving, 11 so far. Just got my son his Jr Open Water card, built in dive buddy. Also, new to forums, so will probably be a bit slow navigating for a bit.

We are going to dive in Cozumel and Grand Cayman in a couple of weeks and I am interested in getting a compact digital camera. I have looked at the Panasonic Lumix DMC-TZ1 and the Canon A710 IS. I have read some reviews but by no means a camera person. I am hopeful someone here may have some suggestions as to these mentioned or other makes in this price range.
