hello from California

new to freediving, about 2 or 3 monthes, picked it up on a chance visit to turks&cacaos, addicted ever since, now relocated to northern california near folsom lake, dove there a few times but spend most of the time doing dynamic at folsom aquatic center, anyone around here look me up. Still in the process of aquiring all the proper gear, just got my first real mono this week, the waterway model 1 medium stiff blade with finis footpockets, had been using a finis trainer mono I got on ebay for $8 wasn't ideal but it served its purpose and got me ready for the big fin. I have found freediving to be an amazing new way to expereince the water since my new location gives few opportunities for surfing. I have learned a great deal from this site and am sure I'll be posting questions soon. I'll stop rambling now.

Could post some info on how You get along with the model 1?
What made You decide getting the model1 instead of the model 2?
In which case(s) might a slimmer blade be better?

(that info is probably best in the monfin forum)

I'm in the process of deciding between Model 1 and 2 and am happy about any input.
