Can i pick your brains? What are the differences between the Cressi Gara 3000LD, the Gara 3000 and the Gara 2000HF?
Also, I don't dive very deep (3-4 metres) and my legs/ankles aren't that strong. What fins would suit me best? Thanks for any advice. |

Hi IanIan.
From your description, the 3000 LD are the way to go for you. In facts, the 2000 are the stiffest, the 3000 are medium/stiff, the 3000 LD (Long Distance) are softer fins for swimming long distance and for diving in shallow water, where the powerful thrust of a stronger fin is not required. Go for the 3000 LD, and welcome on DeeperBlue

+1 on that. I have the 3000LD for cold water, and that I'm not that big (152lbs). They are suitable for a good 20 meters though.

I saw the newest of the Cressi fins at the recent Asia Dive Expo / ADEX 2008 show in Singapore: Gara Professional
cressi Yummy... stiffest yet... provided you are fit enough to use it. If anyone is in Bangkok next week, Cressi has a stand at TDEX / Thailand Dive Expo 2008. Thailand Travel & Dive Expo 15-18 May 2008 Queen Sirikit National Convention Centre Bangkok Thailand. Cheers! Last edited by David Goh; May 8th, 2008 at 13:01. |
