I wanted to take a moment to say how impressed and blown away i am by such an amazing resource. I was an instructor,crew member,and asst. photo on the Kona Aggressor some time ago and was introduced to freediving by an amazing friend and very talented fellow u/w photographer Gui Garcia with whom i've lost touch.are you out there Gui? Anyhow,as long as all my chores were done the ocean was mine to play,what a blast.I'm currently living in Los Angeles pursuing my acting career and producing and directing my own show.
But the call to get back to freediving has been strong soooo i'm taking part in the Divefit class may3-5th and couldn't be more excited!!!!!!! I must commend
Paul Kotik for all my questions being answered and his welcoming spirit and sense of humor.Also I must commend Jim Doe2you for his generosity of info and opinions on gear as well as being willing to talk on a Sun p.m. and share his passion for gear as I also am a gear addict I just love great design,quality and excellent customer service.I can't forget to mention Dennis Haussler-20fathoms for ideas on fins/footpockets your kindness is priceless. I feel truly blessed to be part of this community and look forward
to learning new techniques to push myself to new places from a master see ya soon Mr.Stepanek-and to all on this forum I look forward to forging new friendships and wish you all the best life has to offer.

Dee Dee- Welcome to DB! I took the FIT course almost a month ago. It is amazing! Might not be a bad Idea to bring Extra gear if you have it. The Last day of our dives my fin broke and Martin had me borrow Pauls C4's. That was a $450 mistake! I went out that afternoon and bought my own pair of C4's. Words of advice: Don't try the carbon fins- you'll get hooked. (I think I was set up - now that I think about it)

it was kind of a act of desperation - maybe $350- can't remember really. I needed fins for the next day and wanted to buy a pair anyways.

Edit: I needed to buy a pair of fins as I was using them the NEXT day- and your on the other side of the state. I would always check with you first

Hey Gang ,Just got back from my FIT II clas had a blast had a personal best static of 4:15
and got to 55 ft.I'm just glad to be back in the water it's been a loooooong while.I'll be looking forward to going back for more training and am looking fo people to train with
in the pool for skill improvement and static in Los Angeles 0n another note whopperhead I already had my own c4 mustang 80s,you learn as an instructor buy the best once and you will never regret it, right!!!!
