Hi all,
Just registered with the site and am already impressed with the amount of information on here. Have recently become more and more interested in free diving, (particularly after the purchase of a speargun last year) and i am really keen to use some of the techniques and methods on here to help improve my down time! Any one else from Brighton/Sussex posters here? All the best and happy apnea! Enjoi ! Ryan |

Hi huntfish,
Good to here from local spearo's. Have been out a couple times around the marina (high tide): couple of small schoolie bass (left them to get bigger!), and some squid. Just checked the 2008 report - seems like the pier is holding some fish so might try there over the week if the may rot keeps clear. Will keep the report page updated on my success - did well last year (my first year spearfishing) biggest bass 6lb 9oz and plenty of bbq'd lobster! Looking to hit a double figure one this year and have a banquet! Happy hunting! |

Alright stuart, you speared much round seaford head - cuckmere - birling gap? Heard there is a submarine in shallow water just inside of cuckmere from seaford head that can be worth a look - have you checked this? Am also keen to do the lighthouse at high tide - looks bassy dont know if there is much there though!
Went several times to newhaven arms last summer (know what you mean about vis) but there was always alot going on under the water plenty pollack, few bass (nothing massive tho). |
