A lot to learn... be gentle!!

Just started at the Monarch freediving club out of the King Alfred Pool in Brighton. Long time 'armchair' interest in freediving. Love snorkling whenever holidays and local conditions allow. (Its often a tad murky around Rottingdean) Swim in local gym pool 5 days a week.
Looking to learn training techniques to improve underwater time, with a view to trying my hand at spear fishing... surprised to see the number of bods doing it around brighton! Would love to get in touch... all my mates think I'm a bit 'odd' wanting to get into this... what do they know.
Did statics at club on first day and personal best stands at 2'15".
Been suffering with starined back for a while so swimming is suffering..,. hope to be more mobile for dynamics on Thursday.

Welcome aboard boydarling.
Like the username.

I am another mainly pool freediver, I have been training for a few years now. You are lucky to be in Brighton near a lot of freedivers and spearos. Hope your back is better soon.
