Hello everyone! I'm new to this site and diving, and I'm excited about meeting some new friends. What attracted my attention to this site was the freediving/spearfishing aspect of the sport, and although I haven't tried either one, I've wanted to for some time. I'm looking forward to learning the ways of the underwater world.

Welcome to the board. I've been told there are a few spearos up in MN, but I don't know much about them. Jon (his username on here) mentions them every now and then. You might PM him. Also check out the Wisconsin section, there have been MN guys pop in there from time to time. Plus if you can make it down to an outing...

Welcome to Deeperblue. "Baerclaw" is in Minnisota and there is about half a dozen from there. The Underwater World is a Great Palce you won't ever want to leave.

There's on kid working up at G.U.D.C. diveshop who's into it. he doesn't have any formal training, but is pretty enthusiastic I'm told.
There's another spearo up there who posts on Spearboard quite a bit, but he does his on scuba- not freediving. Jon
