A friend of mine is looking for a female freediver to spend a couple of weeks, as soon as possible, modelling as a mermaid in Spain and Egypt for a middle eastern TV commercial. If anyone is interested, please PM me and I'll forward the contact details. You'll need to be a good monofinner with reasonably mermaid-like physique.
I stress I do NOT know the people filming this, so don't blame me if it's a bit dodgy.... but the friend who has asked me is at least credible! might be fun if you can take a couple of weeks off and fancy some sea and sun. I can't go unfortunately, although I was kind of tempted to just quit my job and worry about the consequences later : ) S

 is this a manatee or a mermaid? (been watching tv with a 3 year old again - Backyardigans Underwater Adventures are COOL!)

Thats cool... i've never heard of that what channel is it on. I have a 4 year old i can say is watching it while i view it :-)
I'm sick of Tinky Winky getting Tubby custard on him and those Tombliboos or whatever.

Samdive...Her name is Natasha...And she is actually supposed to be a hippo...Her and her other Backyardigan friends frequently go submarining, diving and freediving...Not to mention sailing and fishing too!
I know their intro song by heart...  as does my 20 month old son...But he just mumbles the words as he spins in circles! If you want a Mermaid model Ill do it real cheap...Just get me away from all these cryin' babies! HELP! AHHHHH!!!!!!! Last edited by bgill; February 23rd, 2008 at 02:46.
