Re: Moving to the UK

Hope you get a well paid job mate as the petrol will cost a far bit to get to the best bits of Cornwall and back from Reading. But I’ll tell you what it’s more than worth it, one of the finest places in the world is the bottom end of Cornwall you’ll love it.

Re: Moving to the UK

yup - I live right down the far end and can verify it is indeed one of the finest places in the world - but unfortunately Podge is also right the petrol will cost a fortune .... we're thinking about reverting to horse and cart the fuel prices are so insane now...

LIC are of no real fixed spearfishing abode, being landlocked and with membership from Cornwall to Norfolk (a few regular contributors to the Deeper Blue forum are members), so tend to roam wherever the viz/fish are. Bring a 5mm suit and a short gun (by SA standards a 1m is short) 100cm and under. Capetonians normally take to the conditions here easily as water temperatures and terrain are similiar. 1st Capetonian, Wayne Penn, I dived with in the UK was in Bognor, used a 3mm suit in May and stayed in for 6hrs Brrr.
