Hunting in Corsica and Italy

Hi down there!

I go sailing around Corsica in the second week of July. The week after I'll drive from the French coast to Italy trying to find some good hunting spots.
Can somebody tell me where the hot spots are (and where I can stay in hotels/motels,campings...)?
Buddies for a hunting trip are very welcome as well!

Hope to hear something from you guys!

Cheers,

Pieter

Re: Hunting in Corsica and Italy

Hi Ed,

too bad you can't make it in July. Hope we can share hunting info, Morocco sounds good too! Maybe I'll be in France again at the end of August, apparently pro's organise spear hunting courses over there (classes are in French but that isn’t a real obstacle I think).
Anyway, our plan for July is to sail from France to Corsica, round the island and back. Needless to say that we want to explore all the good hunting spots but so far I still didn’t get much info.
The second week a friend and me wanted to explore the upper Western part of the Italian coast (called Liguria). There must be good possibilities for sure. Hope to get some info and I’ll definitely keep you guys updated.

Cheers,

Pieter

Re: Hunting in Corsica and Italy

I have an Italian mate on this forum - Fabio - have a look for him on anything realated to shooting plenty of spigola in Guernsey - might be worth emailing him for info - I know he has been spearing in both Corsica and Sardinia - he mentioned that dentici are found shallower in Corsica - don't know if that is important for you but for me I dont like/can't aspetto at -30m.... he showed me some videos "Aguato Profundo" - real deep.... but nice feesh - especially the dentici.
If I find out more I'll pass it on - Ed
