looks like I'll but a speargun over in Italy and when I've finished post it back or leave it with friends. Bloody terrorists have got a lot to answer for, trying to ruin my fun tsch tsch.

I have taken guns too and from Italy with Ryanair and had no problems at all.
I was asked to pass the bag through oversized items, and that was it

I have flown from Guernsey to London and then from London on to Greece with two spearguns - I just packed them well in a piece of drain pipe having taken the bands off and put them in a separate bag. They went through with the baggage no problems at all. You are more likely to have trouble with a bottle opener and a pair of tweezers if UK security are anything to go by!!
