Hi Almost, I have been to Menorca and stayed at Binisafua.
With these people http://www.patriciawildblood.co.uk/ I dived but did not spearfish as I believed the waters surrounding the island were off limits to spearo's. This I think was some misinformation on a few websites. Some of the locals who I saw casually spearing some typical med sized fish in the south did not seem bothered. I have found some pretty definitive looking regulation forbidding spearing only along a part of the north coast. You can see it HERE on page 40 of the .pdf document. Three pics of some guys fish in 1990 HERE This guy posted on Menorca Pericoforeverand left an email address. So crystal clear and a lovely island. Beach at Binibeca very nice with exploring off rock into gullies etc..and most importantly, one of the nicest informal beach restaurant/bar around, right on the rocks above the water with seafood and cold draught beer!
