Ha no problems. Err last went spearing 2 weeks ago at a competition down in exmouth, had 2 mullet one of 5lb and a bass of about a 1.5lb, the vis was awesome! but not since then, have you been in?

hi alix. I see you are in to spearing, I want to learn. would love to get my own food from the coast . you ever get down to salt free in chepstow?is it portsmouth where you live ...whats it like down there? we would love to leave essex and get down to the coast... ha ha hope you don't mind me asking you all these question.

The areas I dived around Plymouth this year around the bloom time seemed to cope well with 2-5 meters viz been the norm ( in the right conditions) The bay on the other hand was hit fairly hard this year and turned into pea soup........ but it did bring the fish in

Howzit. theres loads of spots in and around plymouth to dive. I dive torbay most days of the week and south hams during the weekend. Torbay viz is never brilliant with coudy water but having said that when the fish are in you really dont mind.

If you ever down this way give me a shout and we can hook up for a shore dive.

Biography

I've been freediving since 2007 and love it! At the moment i've not been deeper than 20m but that felt quite comfortable. I prefer coast diving in shallow (and preferably clear) water, taking photos and looking for wildlife.
I'm not competetive, and I don't see myself competeing or trying to beat any records although I really want to meet many other freedivers around the world and improve my static apnea.
I've been freediving in Brittany - France, Galicia - Spain and a few sites in the UK.

I've just started spearfishing, because what could be better than freediving and having freshly caught dinner on the beach afterwards?
