    hey Calli no I was never a student at ukzn is that a problem? ranger said if we were members we could get access to the pool to do some training which im keen for as it is close to my new place and I really need to keep the fitness up otherwise I just suffer when I eventually get to the see

    Grew up on an island, and as such had been in and out of boats since i could walk!
    rowed traditional currach boats before taking up sweep rowing in college ( National University of Ireland Galway). spent 5 years at this. Same as yourself, i've been in every position from stroke to bow! and even coached a crew of complete beginners for a season. great to hear there are other rowers on here. final year in college this year so had to extract myself from the sport. and sadly i haven't gotten much freediving or spearing done in the last 3 months either.

    K cool - must have missed them. To be honest I always was really bad about going into lectures!

    Yes finished my degree and sticking around. Yes I live in Durban - on Essenwood Rd. Ah that would be great - thank you so very much! I have been wanting to dive but couldnt find any one to dive with. My diving mates all kicked off to Indo and to the UK!

    I just finished my degree on Howard College and never heard about it!!!

I'm sitting here in the States on a dream holiday with my wonderful family. They're all talking skiing and snowboarding and snow reports for the area while I'm sitting on the computer checking out the diving and vis report from back home...

In the news recently in Durban has been the story of a hippo travelling south in the surf. Check out [Link] and [Link]).

For those who don't know, the ocean isn't a hippo's usual habitat - they prefer fresh water lakes and slower moving rivers without rocks on the bottom and with fresh green vegetation nearby....
