Place: Small reef just past KoelBay. Parking just after the bridge after Keolbay entrance going to Bettys Bay from Gordonsbay.

Time of dive: +/- 2 hours, 10:00 to 12:00.

State of tide: Rising.

Weather: Fresh to Stong SE winds during the week with a turn to NW on the Thursday before the dive, strong NW winds one the day and overcast.

Water conditions: Choppy water with a bit of a swell running. Visibility was between 2 to 5 or 6m. Water temps...

Place: Strawberry rock (Bakhoven, Campsbay)

Time of dive: +/- 2 hours, 8:30 to 10:30.

State of tide: Rising.

Weather: Fresh to strong E to SE winds during the week prior to the dive warm and sunny. Little to no wind on the day with clear sunny skyes and light NW predicted for the afternoon.

Water conditions: Clear cold water up to 12m vizibility. Deepest dive about 8m. Deepest point +/- 15m out on the sand straight down the center of the bay...

Summers come and gone in a week, weather has been absolute cr@p these last few days. Sun shines for a day and then it rains, I just realized the other day that I havent watered our garden since April, thats almost 6 months!!!
Isnt global warming supposed to make summer come earlier and be warmer, well I guess if it comes late it will last longer hey. And perhaps our stormy waters will produce some exceptional quarry in the months to come, heres to hoping hey

So the weekend came and went in a whirl, did 2 dives in the 4 days there due to tides and weather not really playing nice. So the first dive was on Friday evening with the sun setting and the tide still flushing over the rocks. I took two shots and missed both, ah well better luck next time as Ill be more used to the gun then, dont normally hunt with the 75... The better luck never came. Monday morning I went for my second and last dive of the weekend just before we headed back home, missed a sure...

Hey it looks like summer finally arrived in Cape Town, temperatures are up and skys are clear for the first time in a very long while, or at least it feels that way.
Tomorrow will be Friday for me and were loading up the car and heading for seclusion for the coming weekend, no power no phones no nothing just water beaches and a fire. Will be diving and fishing every day so this weekend gonna be awesome. Watch this space for a report as there will be one wether the viz is there or not its...
