Hi Monchan, the white fins caught my eye only because I have seen them only once before - one of the forum members collects vintage spearing gear and recently upload images of some interestingly coloured Japanese fins, inc. white ones. I think they look good. You had a great catch, so why change? Perhaps there is some advantage (or no disadvantage) to white? Maybe hard to see from below, or over sand from above? Our fins are usually rather unimaginately coloured black (probably because they are made of rubber and/or to match wetsuits which are often black) although coloured or even clear blades are common & camo is quite popular for spearing. I painted my 32+ year old black Britmarine fins but made a poor job and regret it now (white/blue on top green/brown/black sole-side) - I might try removing it. I painted the blue plastic blades of my big black Beuchat fins with all kinds of paints and colours, looks pretty messy but it seems to blend in with the local weed reasonably well. I don't think I would paint those white fins - they are iconically Japanese and seem to be working well for you. Makes me wonder if I should try white!
