Oh that's no too bad, we had similar conditions in France when I was over there - only got one day of very clear, >5m vis in four weeks though I think that was due to the constant wind as well as rain.
What's the last fish you speared? I was really looking forward to learning off my dad this summer but he just dumped me in the water and did his own thing, "just stay there, stay still and be quiet" - not that helpful, so I only saw mullet, wrasse and a few small elusive bass. We have a rule over there "shoot no mullet" because there are much better fish out there. So i'm hoping to bribe as many spearos as possible with beer for hunting help.

The areas I dived around Plymouth this year around the bloom time seemed to cope well with 2-5 meters viz been the norm ( in the right conditions) The bay on the other hand was hit fairly hard this year and turned into pea soup........ but it did bring the fish in

    I will do!
The only thing I worry about Plymouth is that it must get huge algae blooms after heavy rain due to the (three?) rivers?

Howzit. theres loads of spots in and around plymouth to dive. I dive torbay most days of the week and south hams during the weekend. Torbay viz is never brilliant with coudy water but having said that when the fish are in you really dont mind.

If you ever down this way give me a shout and we can hook up for a shore dive.

    Cheers
    Scott

Hey! I'm just moving down to Plymouth and looking for some people to go spearing/freediving/getting-in-the-water with down there. Where are you based? Do you know any nice spearo's down in Devon?
